I'm trying to add my avatar etc, but get this message "You should have minimum number of approved posts to be able edit your profile information". Maybe this can be switched off as the original community gets back online?

@hawkeye Sorry still doesn't help. I think once you get to 5 messages everything levels off.

@havok I suspect it's set to three as that's the number I got to before it unlocked. 

@hawkeye Your count was 3 when I made the change. That's why I'm confused by what you said even though you were able to add your Avatar. Maybe it was a browser cache issue.
