Operation Pheonix is a Tim-Host game intended to kick-start the revival the VGAP3 and CM community in general. Game details can be found on the link above and we currently have the following players interested:

Just now need to get a few more players registered and we can get things underway. Let's rifle through our old emails and see if we can find some old contacts to help spread the word out there

I've gone back through my old emails and contacted a few old players - some you guys will recognise like Tei, Bane, Clouser, Raven, Wasp etc. Hopefully we'll get a few more players and have this up and running real soon.

didn´t expect to sign in a vpa game again in my life 😉
well, i´m bit out of training, but this old machine using windows xp still seems to work so i should be able to play a couple of turns.
if possible i´d take the robots..

@hawkeye - You gotta get the word out. Share the game post and let the masses know you're trying to get an old school VGAP game going. In fact I'll make a new post... What do you have? 6 our of 11 players so far? How many do you want to get in there to start it?

There in lies the issue - I only have email addresses for a handful of players and I've already let them know. What we really need is an email to go out to the entire CM community from the past, but how do we achieve that? Ideally 8 players to make a start, and of those, I don't have everyone's email addresses.
I don’t have a list I can quickly pull to do that. And even if I did, I can’t send invites the way they used to go out. My ISP (Verizon) blocks SMTP on port 25, which is what AutoTroll relies on, and it’s an older setup.
That said, I think between posting here and over on Matthias’s site, we can still get 11 players together. I’m happy to put up another post. We have 27 people registered here, mostly from the old site.
Ideally, the game should already be set up and configured first. Then we can share a single link, post it, and direct any remaining players straight to the game so they can join on their own. We can also reserve spots in advance for the folks who already selected a race here, by passing their info along to Matthias so he can get them set up in AutoTroll before making the link public.
How does that sound?
